INTERACTION DESIGN
Hert's journey began at HKU (Utrecht School of the Arts) where he studied Interaction Design during the wild dotcom boom of the late '90s. While many of his fellow students focused mainly on web design and development, which was naturally considered "hot", Hert chose multimedia with video and animation.
Begin jaren 2000 was hij medeoprichter van Refunk in Amsterdam, een digitale studio die award-winnende campagnes maakte voor merken als Volvo, Nokia en Adidas. Naast het ontwerpwerk runde hij mee aan de studio zelf. Bij Media Republic werkte hij daarna als Senior Designer en Creative Lead aan UI/UX en interactieve campagnes voor Philips, Unilever en KPN.
Toen de techniek verschoof, verschoof Hert mee. Hij verdiepte zich in motion design en 3D animatie, en startte in 2011 zijn eigen studio Aboki in Arnhem. Naarmate projecten groter werden, werd het managen wat het altijd al was geweest: een hoofdrol in plaats van een bijrol. Bij Colorbleed Utrecht produceerde hij high-end animatie, CGI en VFX projecten voor internationale klanten, waaronder T-Mobile, Migros en samenwerkingen met Framestore.

Tegenwoordig werkt Hert freelance als Creative Project Manager voor agencies, studios en bedrijven, en is hij Producer & Business Developer bij Capybara Animation in Utrecht. Daarnaast is hij actief bezig met generatieve AI productie. Het past in een carrière die elke technologische verschuiving heeft meegemaakt: van grafisch naar internet, van Flash naar Motion, en nu van 3D naar AI. Niet vasthouden aan één technologie, maar meebewegen met wat er komt.
